Alcatraz Island Tour with Alcatraz Cruises

Although Alcatraz is not included with Go San Francisco Cards purchased on our website, Alcatraz Cruises will be selling the Go San Francisco Card as of May 1, 2008.

The Alcatraz Island Tour includes round-trip ferry to Alcatraz Island and a 45 minute self guided cell
house audio tour. Allow approximately 2 1/2 hours for the full tour experience.

No one can tell the Alcatraz tale like the men and women who actually lived it. The award-winning Alcatraz Cellhouse Audio Tour brings history alive through the actual voices of the correctional officers and inmates who lived on the island during the infamous Federal Penitentiary era. The tour is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch and Mandarin.

Important Alcatraz Island Tour information:

• Purchasing your Go San Francisco Card through Alcatraz Island Tour at
  415-981-ROCK (7625) or from the Alcatraz landing Ticket Booth Pier 33 are the only ways to make a reservation for an Alcatraz Island Tour using a Go San Francisco Card. If you purchase your Go San Francisco Card through this website or another retailer, you will be not be eligible for this offer.
• Reservations are first come first serve and subject to the availability of a reservation.
• After you make a reservation by the telephone , Alcatraz Cruises will send you a confirmation email. You must bring this confirmation email with you when you arrive on the day of your excursion or to pick up your Go San Francisco cards. The Go San Francisco cards purchased from Alcatraz Cruises can only be picked up at the Alcatraz Ticket Booth Pier 33.
• Please note that during peak season, reservations are in high demand and availability is not guaranteed.
• Your Go San Francisco Card must be VALID on the day of your reservation. Expired cards will not be honored and you will not be able to board your trip to Alcatraz , and a refund will not be given. Using your card to board Alcatraz Island tour will activate your card and count toward one of your card days.
• You must arrive at the Alcatraz Island Tour departure location AT LEAST 15-30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.
• If you are late and you miss your reservation, your reservation will not be honored or credited.
• The Go San Francisco Card is limited to one Alcatraz Island Tour per card (subject to availability).

When you purchase a Go San Francisco card from Alcatraz Cruises, you will have the option to make a reservation for an Alcatraz Cruise. No reservations can be made if you purchase through our web site or any other seller of the Go San Francisco Card. Please call 415-981-ROCK (7625) and mention you want to purchase a Go San Francisco Card and the agent will assist you. Go San Francisco Cards purchased from them can only be picked up from Alcatraz Ticket Booth at Pier 33 Alcatraz Cruises cannot mail Go San Francisco Cards in advance of your trip.
