If you’re among the 27+ million people who plan to fly this Thanksgiving, then you’ll want to read Peter Greenberg’s last-minute travel tips. Greenberg is a Today Show contributor who reminds travelers to check in online the night before and try to fly out of a smaller airport to avoid travel congestion (good tips for other times of the year, too). To relieve airplane gridlock, President Bush  recently approved a “Thanksgiving express lane” from Florida to New England and added additional measures to avoid delays. Happy travels!

San Francisco: A Sophisticated Getaway

November 12th, 2007 by amy c

Americans agree San Franciscans are the best overall people, compared to 25 other US cities, also ranking number one in categories such as most sophisticated getaway, most notable neighborhoods, and gay-friendliness. I wasn’t surprised, but then again this native is a tad biased.

Travel and Leisure Magazine recently published a survey, asking Americans to rate 25 urban destinations around the US. After 60,000 responses, here is a guide to how your next travel destination ranks.

San Francisco was ranked pretty high for most categories, often tying or coming in a close second to New York City in categories such as ethnic food, skyline views, and underground arts scene.

See how San Francisco measures up in all areas!

September 28th, 2007 by admin

When we started researching travel blogs, we noticed that there aren’t many blogs that focus exclusively on travel destinations in the United States. And few provide the kind of in-depth, up-to-date information that we, as frequent travelers, want and need when we visit a new city. Thus, this blog was born! We plan to pack this blog with travel tips, news, itineraries, and more so that you can plan the best possible trip to San Francisco. Check back often for updates on new attractions, restaurants, museums, tours, and more in the Bay Area and beyond!
